Bear Lake Utah-Idaho

Straddling the border between Utah and Idaho is a wonderful place called Bear Lake. With over 112 miles of shoreline it’s a place where you can escape the noise and congestion of life and discover the joys of the surrounding countryside and wildlife.

Dive into the turquoise blue water of Bear Lake and enjoy the many activities it has to offer. Rent a boat from one of the surrounding family owned businesses and swim, Jet Ski, or wake board the day away. Perhaps you’d enjoy the thrill of having a prize-winning trout on the end of the line as you fish in the limestone bedded lake. No matter what your preference, you can enjoy the luxurious lake and the friendly smiles of those around you.

Don’t forget to take in the surrounding beauty of the mountains. Take a hike, horseback ride, or ATV through the surrounding trails. Pack a lunch and have a picnic as you watch the wonderful array of wildlife. Bear Lake State Park offers several campgrounds, so you can make this adventure last as long as you want.

The fun doesn’t stop once the snow starts to fall. The hills are now covered in snow, and make a perfect place to cross-country or down hill ski. Pull out the snowmobiles and take your family on the ride of a lifetime. With all the snow and the smell of pine in the air, you’ll feel like a kid at Christmas all over again.

Back in town, the people will treat you like family. Take part in the wonderful festivities during Bear Lake’s Raspberry days in August. Enjoy the local rodeo, fair, and the wide array of craft booths. In September, you can explore some of Bear Lake’s rich history with the Rendezvous reenactments on Rendezvous Beach.

No matter when or where you go in Bear Lake, fun will greet you. So come on down to bear lake and enjoy some small town hospitality and the surrounding countryside.
